French minister: A glyphosate ban now would put some farmers out of business

€172 million to promote EU agri-food products in and outside the EU

The European Commission will provide funding of €172,5 million from the EU agricultural budget to promote EU agri-food products in Europe and across the world. 79 campaigns, covering a wide range of products such as dairy products, olives and olive oil, and fruit and vegetables, will be rolled out over the next three years. Agriculture and Fisheries Council, 15 October 2018

the Council discussed a progress report on the work carried out on the proposal for a regulation on CAP strategic plans, which are the cornerstone of the future CAP after 2020. Ministers also exchanged views on the issues of simplification and flexibility for member states contained in the proposal, as well as on the new greening architecture proposed by the Commission.
