On March 27th, 2017, the RISE Foundation published its report on 'CAP: thinking out of the box'. This report shows how the current CAP does not make best use of the considerable resources deployed to support land managers through the necessary transition and suggests some procedural changes to kick-start a more effective reform process which brings together more constructively the conflicting interests in agricultural policy. Latest figures show that EU agri-food exports started 2017 at high level

The monthly value of EU agri-food exports in January 2017 reached a level of €10.3 billion, which is almost €1 billion higher than in January 2016, according to the latest agri-food trade report published today. The highest increases in monthly export values were achieved for wine (€+127 million), pork (€+112 million) and spirits and liqueurs (€+83 million). Read the full report .
